Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing tax returns for individuals and S corporations, proficiency with UltraTax software, and experience working in a digital environment. This role requires excellent analytical skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and S corporations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
  • Utilize UltraTax software for tax preparation and electronic filing.
  • Maintain accurate and organized digital records of tax documents and client information.
  • Research and resolve tax issues, providing clear and timely communication to clients.
  • Assist with tax planning strategies to optimize client outcomes.
  • Stay current on changes in tax legislation and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or EA designation preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience preparing tax returns for individuals and S corporations.
    • Hands-on experience with UltraTax software.
    • Comfortable working in a digital environment with electronic workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with other tax preparation and accounting software.
  • Strong communication and client service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
